911 Carrera

Carrera

The heart of the Porsche brand and the global epitome of the sports car - a unique overall concept that combines iconic design and a high level of sportiness: The Carrera has a broad, self-confident and muscular stance. The long trunk lid with a striking recess in front of the windshield stretches the front end and gives the 911 a dynamic look. The rear section with its strong indentations and low end is also an archetypal feature of the 911 Carrera. The 2+2 seating concept and the front luggage compartment always offer maximum suitability for everyday use. The name comes from the Carrera Panamericana, a Mexican endurance race in which Porsche achieved great success with the 550 Spyder.

911 Carrera Cabriolet

Carrera Cabriolet

The fresh-air version of the 911 Carrera adopts the modern design language of the Coupé, but remains unmistakably a Porsche 911 even as a Cabriolet. With almost identical lines, the fully automatic fabric soft top with heated glass rear window stretches in an elegant arc from the windshield frame to the soft top box lid. The typical 911 roof contour is thus retained in its entirety. The Cabriolet also cuts a fine figure when closed, as well 12 seconds later, after the convertible top was opened.

911 Targa

Targa

The 911 Targa is neither a cabriolet nor a coupé, but a unique way of experiencing open-air driving. Light and air transform the experience into a captivating one. The characteristic Targa bar is seamlessly integrated into the body shape, serving as both rollover protection and a design element. Behind it stretches the wraparound glass rear window made of weight-optimized laminated safety glass; no C-pillars obstruct the rearward view. The roof segment can be conveniently opened or closed at the touch of a button in just 19 seconds. The roof mechanism alone is impressive. Freedom opens up with the sky above the cockpit. The rear window allows for virtually draft-free open-air driving with minimal wind noise, preserving the elegant Porsche silhouette. The name means "shield" and is derived from the legendary Sicilian road race, the Targa Florio.

911 Turbo

Turbo

The 911 Turbo combines sportiness with everyday usability, emotionality with reliability and dynamism with efficiency. A distinguishing feature that has characterised the 911 Turbo since the first model are the wider rear fenders with their particularly powerful design. The strongly pronounced front apron with its black airblades directs the airflow in a targeted manner. The variable front spoiler also ensures adaptive aerodynamics by being able to extend low. Process air is drawn in via the 911 Turbo-typical air inlets in the rear side panels. Consistent lightweight construction is used for the rear wing: the characteristic Turbo feature has a large effective aerodynamic surface despite its low weight. Overall, the rear of the 911 Turbo is powerful and precisely designed. Straightforward, with a clear horizontal alignment.

911 Turbo Cabriolet

Turbo Cabriolet

The air supply plays a crucial role in a 911 Turbo. But why should it be limited to the engine? The 911 Turbo Cabriolet models combine the classic silhouette of the 911 Turbo with the possibility of further intensifying the unmistakable sound of the turbo engine when driving with the top down and the merging with the elements. The 911 Turbo Cabriolet has an electrically operated fabric roof, which can be opened or closed in 12 seconds.

911 GT

GT

The 911 GT models combine outstanding driving dynamics with unmistakable design. They offer the closest possible proximity to motorsport while at the same time being suitable for everyday use. As for all other GT vehicles from Porsche, the maxim of intelligent lightweight construction also applies to the 911. This is because the vehicle weight has a significant influence on the driving experience: every gram saved does not have to be accelerated, braked or steered. For example, the insulation is proportionately reduced in order to lower the weight and intensify the connection to the road. The 911 GT models embody pure passion for motorsport and enthusiasm for performance.

Model designations

Iconic model designation for 4

The '4' in the model designation indicates all-wheel drive models, which are also offered with rear-wheel drive.

Iconic model designation for T

The letter T stands for 'Touring' and denotes the entry-level model with reduced equipment and the base engine. Today, its direct setup and sporty equipment provide an emotionally engaging, purist driving experience. The 6-speed sport manual transmission further enhances the sense of active driving pleasure.

Iconic model designation for S

At Porsche, S stands for “Sport”: a more powerful version which, in addition to the extra sporty engine, also includes improvements in equipment compared to the basic model.

Iconic model designation for GTS

At Porsche, the abbreviation GTS stands for 'Grand Touring Sport', distinctive design elements, and a sporty standard specification. High-performance engines and chassis systems consistently designed for performance offer that extra dose of sportiness while maintaining strong everyday usability and long-distance comfort.

Iconic model designation for turbo

The Turbo is the top model, the limit of what is possible, a technological pioneer. Today, at Porsche, Turbo no longer refers to a technology, but instead marks the most powerful variants. The all-electric flagship models of the Taycan, Macan and Cayenne show that the model designation is no longer tied to the use of turbochargers.

Iconic model designation for GT

GT stands for 'Grand Touring' and, in the extremely sporty GT models, refers to the GT classes in motorsport. Built for motorsport, approved for the road. Today, at Porsche, GT not only stands for motorsport, but also designates the sportiest flagship models of the Cayenne and the Taycan.

Iconic model designation for RS

RS designates the GT models offering the maximum possible with road approval. More motorsport feeling for the road is not possible.
